Richard Costello is a Partner with Aloha Energy Group. His areas of expertise include energy conservation, energy procurement, load management, facility audits, and on-site wind & solar generation projects. He also has extensive experience in load management, and utility services as well as, power, natural gas, and tariff related negotiations and agreements.
Mr. Costello is a registered professional engineer and was previously the Power Supply Manager for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, as well as, a Senior Engineer in the Load Management Department of Boston Edison. He holds a M.S. in Engineering Management from Western New England College and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. Mr. Costello also conducts Energy Procurement and Management Seminars nationwide for the Association of Energy Engineers. Rich was the National President of the Association for the Year 2000, and recently received the 2003 Energy Professional of the Year Award from the organization. In 2006, he was inducted into the Energy Managers Hall of Fame.
Marc Sandofsky, who has more than 30 years of experience in the mechanical contracting business, received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. degree in Economics from Tufts University, and an MBA in Marketing from Babson College.
In the course of his career, Mr. Sandofsky has served as the president of Ace Heating & Cooling, a large mechanical contracting firm based in Alston, MA; president of Hy-Save Northeast, an energy services company (ESCO) based in Peabody, MA; vice-president of Fleming Technologies, an ESCO based in Marlborough, MA; and president of Latent Energy Solutions, an ESCO based in Natick, MA.
Mr. Sandofsky also served as engineering editor of Store Equipment and Design Magazine and Contracting Business Magazine, and has had numerous other articles published in magazines and newspapers both domestically and internationally. Because of his writing on the subjects of refrigeration, air conditioning, and energy conservation, he is particularly well known within the food store industry. As a result, he is well positioned to introduce ECM condenser fan retrofits to that market sector.
